Counselling Services

Are you constantly pushing through exhaustion, telling yourself you’ll slow down after the next deadline, goal, or milestone? Do you feel 'tired but wired', with a mind that won’t shut off and a body that never quite relaxes? Therapy can help you understand the patterns driving burnout and anxiety, calm your nervous system, and learn how to move through life with more ease - without losing your ambition or sense of purpose.

Are you feeling depleted from constantly trying to get things “just right,” meet high expectations, or avoid letting others down? Do guilt, self-criticism, or fear of disappointing people make it hard to set boundaries or slow down? Therapy can help you untangle perfectionism and people-pleasing, develop self-compassion, and learn how to choose yourself without the constant weight of guilt or “shoulds.”

Do relationships feel confusing, overwhelming, or harder than they “should” be? Do you find yourself overextending yourself, pulling away, or worrying about where you stand with others? Therapy can help you make sense of your attachment patterns, heal relational wounds, and build connections that feel safer, more balanced, and more fulfilling—starting with your relationship with yourself.

On paper, your life looks good - but something still feels off. Do you feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure what you actually want beneath all the responsibilities and expectations? Therapy can help you clarify what's most important to you, build trust within yourself, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and aligned—not just productive or acceptable.

In-Person Counselling
There's something special about being in the same room. If you're craving that face-to-face connection, or if finding a quiet, private space at home feels tricky, in-person sessions in our cozy Guelph office might be just the right fit. It's a calm, welcoming space where you can truly settle in and focus on yourself.
Online Counselling
Life is busy, and sometimes the most accessible therapy is the kind that meets you where you are. Virtual sessions are a great option if you value flexibility — whether that means logging on during a lunch break, after the kids are asleep, or simply from the comfort of your own home (yes, comfy clothes are absolutely encouraged).

What to Expect
Consultation
15 minutes/complimentary
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process, and that's exactly what this conversation is for. We'll talk about what's been bringing you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and any experiences you've had with counselling before. I'll share a bit about how I work and how I might approach your concerns.
There's no obligation to book — just a relaxed, no-pressure chance to see if we feel like a good fit.

Initial Session
50 or 80 minutes
Our first full session is a chance to go deeper — to really understand what's been going on for you and what you most need right now. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and from there, we'll shape a treatment plan that reflects your goals and feels right for where you are.

If you're new to therapy, or if your history feels complex or layered, I often suggest starting with an 80-minute session. The extra time means we're not rushing, and it gives us a strong foundation to build from.
Follow-up Sessions
50 or 80 minutes
Ongoing sessions are guided by the treatment plan we build together and focus on the deeper patterns and underlying factors contributing to what you're experiencing. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, tailored to what's most helpful for you at any given point. You can read more about the modalities I use here.

ART is delivered in 80-minute sessions, which allows enough space for the full processing that makes this approach so effective
